We kick off this miniseries with a lot of hype, a little shade, and make our predictions of who will be the most drama and who will take it all and be crowned the The World's Next Drag Supermonster!

Welcome to Eye On Horror Minisode, the Dragula Titans recap series. We're back for season two. That's right. We're back, baby back for Dracula Titans, back from the grave. Here we go. I'm your host, Jon Correia from the eye on horror podcast, and with me, I have Waylon Jordan, how are you Waylon? Oh, I'm great. How are you guys tonight? Doing great. What have you been up to the last couple of years, since we last recorded couple of years? It's been two years at least. I know well, more books coming out. I actually have a book coming out in October, and more stories written and just yeah, just writing and living my best horror life as much as possible around here. Hell yeah, we're going to need you to say the title of that book at some point. But first, let's introduce our other, other co host, Lindsey Gant Lindsay, I'm back. I'm back at the microphone, not just behind the scenes, making sure that your podcast comes to life on socials. That's me adding your podcast to IMDb. That's right, the IMDB. I shouldn't say that, because I'm actually behind on it, so don't go look. You do more than that. And how have you been these last couple of years? A year is great. Nothing. Nothing is wrong at all. At this point in time, everything is fantastic. We're moving forward because dragula is back, baby. This is definitely a very nice distraction to what's going on in the world. It's about to say, it's not like there's anything interesting happening in the world. No, no. There's very few other things that make me get like, squeal and get excited and say I should talk on a podcast about this. Yeah. We definitely don't absolutely need this absolute massive distraction of drama, filth, horror and glamor. And so with that, let's get into it. Titans, if, for those who don't know dragula, Titans is the All Stars of dragula, where they bring back competitors from previous seasons who did not win to compete for the title of Titans, and boy, how did do the Boulet brothers know how to create an elixir of competition and reality TV drama? And it is more evident than ever with this fucking cast. This shit is poison. It's just straight up poison. Like, don't talk about elixir, man, this is not an elixir. This is an explosion waiting to happen. I can't wait, dude. I looked at I looked at this cast list, and I was like, oh my god, it's some of my absolute favorites from all the seasons. Eva's back. Disaster arena is back, Priscilla's back, and then, like the other half is, oh, this bitch, Jay is going to stir it up. So okay, and as long as we're just right there and you're mentioning that, why? Why do we have to sit through another season with Aborah? Why do we have to have that bitch on here? I was wondering which one was, like, jeez, like the last Titans, she is a returner for Titans even. And I'm No, she's not the only one. But like, the last time, she got eliminated twice and repeatedly, could not even perform what they were asking her to perform on a regular basis, like, stick to the theme and stuff. I don't know how do they bring her back for this? That is ridiculous to me. She was on titan season one, and the other one on titan season one was Eva Destruction, too, but Eva, like, I'm so excited to see more of but yeah, Abora, absolutely. Like, what is she doing back here? And Eva is her drag Mom, isn't she? Oh, is she? I think so, I don't know, but I do know that a Bora is the definition of Cardi B second album title, which is, am I the drama? Because that pointy nose bitch just sticks it into everything. And I love it. It she's She really is, like, very annoying, but also very entertaining with it, and drag mother is Eva. That's crazy, but they don't get along. Well, mothers and daughters, well, I do love this little factoid, because I do have the Boulet dragulas Wiki up according to this, abora's favorite queer icon is George Santos, so that kind of explains somethings I am even more over her now, like Jesus. Oh no, oh, okay, well, I had to get that off my chest, like it was weighing me down from the moment that I saw. The cast list I'm perfectly fine with, like, disasterina, that bitch is going to come in and, like, make all kinds of drama too, but she's not quite as annoying about it, and I'm happy for that. Well, speaking of returning Titan competitors, we also have JK coming back. That was kind of more probably the more the shock to me. Like they didn't last super long in season five. I believe it was, but they definitely were doing. They were doing well, but they kind of just like falter. They were trying to figure out their striding, but then coming back as like a Titan. That just feels like quite the quite the reach. I'm excited for Jay K to come back, because we've seen it before, where people who did not perform well on their seasons come back, completely reinvented, completely new, and quickly become favorites. Jay K's style was much more digital. Was much more pop candy, and they it looks like they didn't lose that with the at least with the announcement, look that they still have a bit of that pop, but definitely seems a bit bloodier, bit more put together. And I don't know I'm excited to see how much she she's grown as a performer since her time on season five. But who are some of the ones that you guys are most excited about? La zavaletta. I'm so excited for la zavaletta. Oh my god. She was one of my favorite. She was in season four, and oh my god, I was so upset when she was like, it was like, kind of over time, she was like, maybe like, a little bit annoying. Didn't know which her whole vibe was the very beginning, but then she kind of just grew on me, and I was so upset when she left. So I'm very excited to see her back in action, not to mention that cast announcement look with the Mexican Incan or myan end influence and that blend of gender that's happening there. It's, it's phenomenal. Excellent paint job. That head piece is incredible. I mean, come on, so I could see that character popping out in a movie 100% one that I'm super interested to see her come back, even though I have no idea why she's back is Jay. I really don't get it. I mean, other than the drama thing, but like, she had some interesting looks, and she works at blonde in almost everything. So like, you know, maybe interested to see what she brings to this season. I'm still not sure exactly why she's back, though, it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. If I recall, in season four, she was pretty glamor heavy, and was, like, those first few episodes, was very, you know, was giving off, like, Victoria black, like, I'm gonna win this by being the most glamor. And then just kind of, like, quickly burned out. Yeah. And her favorite queer icon is Taylor Swift, and I'm just queer icon Taylor Swift, yeah, get out of here. That's what she lists as her favorite queer icon. And I'm not sure about that either. I really, you know, like I'm I'll be interested to see if she's able to, like, actually embrace the horror more around and get a little dirty. But she was very glam heavy before she was and it's funny, I was just asking a bunch of people the other day, when people will talk about their divas, you know, they bring up Gaga, they bring up Barbra, Streisand, they bring up, you know, Cher, I never hear anyone say Taylor Swift. So this is a first that Taylor Swift is being brought up as, like, that's my diva. That's my icon. T swift and diva is I feel like opposite ends of the coin. Yeah, it feels but you know what? Go off Jay. Go. Yeah. Live your life. Live your T. Swift, Norm life, football, fucking loving life. I think everyone knows that season two is, I think, pinnacle of reality TV, and I one of the reasons is disaster arena. Disasterena. Yeah, bitch, come back. Oh yeah. I'm so excited to see her come back and see what she's going to do we she's actually one of the few creeds that we have seen live in person, not on one of the dragula tours. And she is so much fun when she performed at seasons grievings And did the whole crampous Season screamings, season screamings, my My apologies, and she did a whole bit to her song crampous. That was ridiculous. Yeah, she's she's amazing, yeah, and I can't wait. I hope they give her another opportunity to do a slasher type character, because that whole the alcoholic give me personality and the cocaine to give me keep me slim, it's just iconic, and it's still on my water bottle. Yeah, we're definitely due for some more quotes to come out from dragula Titans. Oh, there's going to be, there's going to be, you know, I'm and it's possibly because I'm just having trouble remembering season one quite as much. But I don't remember much about Loris from from season one, and I haven't seen much of her since, so I'm not really sure to think about her coming back, but I mean, she was also in resurrection. Was she in resurrection? Mm, hmm. She Yeah. She's someone that I don't think I wanted to see her again. Yeah, she, uh, she was kind of the original abora of just being kind of annoying. But also she had some pretty great looks, especially in resurrection. She had, like, one or two of her looks. I was like, All right, she's definitely stepped or they've, my apologies, they have definitely stepped it up since their time. And you know, again, I'm always down for an underdog story, always down for a comeback story. So like, you know, hopefully she does some or they do some really cool stuff this season. But personality wise, they definitely rub me as annoying person. Personality wise, terrible. But you know what? Maybe they'll bring something to the table. Resurrection. Wasn't that was like back in 2020, like, time has passed. Things have happened. People have grown. We'll see. We'll see, yeah, I mean, their their cast announcement, look is, is very in that foe, latex. So, like, maybe they've been doing more with that since then. So yeah, we'll see. But even more awesome, who also was on resurrection is Priscilla chambers, absolutely, who I've been following on the socials, and they've been really getting into tattooing and all this stuff, which I love. And she's just being iconic. And I gotta say, when they because they released that, like, seven minute cast video announcement with the trick or treaters and stuff, and Priscilla's introduction was just, was just everything. I'm going back and re looking at the trailer as we're talking and just kind of looking at some of the looks here. Yeah, it's, it's, it's almost like she's going for a French flag at the same time, like, I don't want to be shady, but like, that's what it's giving to me. French flag, yes, red, white and blue, the colors of the French flag. Yeah. Well, I uh, Sigourney, she killed it. She killed it with the glamor and everything. I'm hoping she brings out more monster. And by more monster, I mean more grotesque, more filled. Because I know that was, like a thing that was shouted at her quite a lot on her season, was everyone's like, all you do is glamor. All you you don't bring monster. She's like, What do you mean? I don't bring monster. And it's like, and it's like, her looks, I guess, are always very well put together. And I think people misinterpret that as like, You're too clean and not monstrous. Where it's like, are you going to be shouting? She's clearly heavily inspired by like, Elvira. So like, are you gonna Are you gonna say, Cassandra Peterson, you're not monstrous enough. No, it's just a style. But I do hope she brings more filth to her looks this season well and, and I mean her, her look in the in the promo and everything, it's very bland, but it's very Vampira. It's very Cassandra Peterson, it all works well. And, yeah, I mean, she could definitely, she definitely works a look like that. Hair is outstanding. It is it is big. It is big, big. Fuck off hair and and I'm from, look, I'm from Texas. The higher the hair, the closer to God. That's, you know, I mean, like, that's where we got that. But like, yeah, she was working that hair and that the cape and the whole thing it was working for in that promo. I'm excited to see what she brings to it. She knows how to wear a corset like a motherfucker and get that hourglass look and all power to her that she's still able to move with it odd. So like, Yeah, but I gotta say that cape is fucking amazing, the red and the gold with the with the wing bits at the bottom, I'm I'm loving it. I'm just going back to the list here now and trying to remember who all we've got. What about Frankie doom? I'm so excited for Frankie Doom to come back. Frankie was such a classic member of season one, but really it was her resurrection outfits and looks and story that were like some of the best of that film. So I I'm really excited to see how much they've grown, because they've been a part of dragula at like, some of its most crucial moments, season one and resurrection, because resurrection really was like the beginning of their relationship with shudder and having an actual home, a consistent home, I should say, and for a consistent audience. So I'm excited that Frankie Doom has this opportunity to come back and kind of really. The on the biggest stage yet show off their craft. Well, look her favorite queer icon is listed, de Leon court. I'm here for that, like I can fuck with somebody like that, because that's that's totally one of mine. That took me a moment, that took me a moment, which is funny, because I just re watched Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the damn the other night, because I want to get into the show. But I made the mistake of watching episode one and then immediately telling Lindsay about Lestat and Louis fucking in the first episode. And now I'm in it. I'm in it. So now I do this. Yeah, so now I have to wait until I'm home to watch it with Lindsay, mostly because I was sitting there going, watching the two movies going, I get the energy that Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise probably did fuck and how they were playing them in the first movie. But the second movie, I was getting none of that. But also I got none of actually seeing it. And so the fact that, like, AMC Episode One was like, no, no, they're not just fucking, they're fucking That was hot. So hell, Jonathan, you know you're never gonna beat the rumors talking like that. I'm never, never. But then you see my cargo pants that I wear all the time, and you're like, yeah, those cargo pants pockets are too big and filled with various snacks. All right. How do you guys feel about another dragula Season featuring another member of the Black family with Dahlia? I know Dahlia competed on season three, and I know in previous chats there's been not an accusation of favoritism towards Victoria black and her daughters, but they do show up quite a bit. So, yeah, I mean, you know, the favoritism, I think accusations with the Victoria black lineage and all that stuff, you know, there's, there's a lot of people who are people's daughters and what have you, is all over. And, you know, I think there was even one season where, I think it was Priscilla became somebody's daughter over her season, it was taken under somebody else's wing. So, I mean, like, you know, I think it's, I think it's just people looking for drama and looking for excuses to go, oh, that's why this person here. Because, to be honest, all of those daughters always have killer looks. And not to mention Dalia had one of the what a great introductions, where she pops in and goes, speaking of pink holes. My name is Dahlia black. So you know, can't, can't be mad at her for that well. And, you know, let's really be honest here. We don't watch a show like this for the boring parts where they're just sitting around making their costumes. It's all about the drama. And if that's, you know, if this is what it takes to get the show, then, you know, I mean, this is one of the reasons why we're there. And they, I think they're very aware of that, and putting the season together, but also in bringing together people that they know that other people will be on the outside going, Oh well, they favor this family, they favor this. They do this, they do that. So anytime they win something, oh my god. Everybody sit back and watch X blow up. I mean, you know, it's just that kind of thing. Yeah, they they know that it's not just a competition. They say that they're often that they are influenced by the early odds drama of reality TV, where everyone's screaming at each other, everyone's kind of getting into it. They do know when to pull it back. Because I think it was Titans where they were like, Hey guys, we really need to bring this down a notch or two, because they got gave into it real fast and real hard. But I do like that. There's this is also a great opportunity to bring back some that maybe didn't quite get highlighted. One for me is Blackberry. I loved BlackBerry season five. BlackBerry seemed I loved the looks they were given. I love their performances, but they always seem to just be getting by in a lot of them. I know I think she won a competition or two, but I it just always felt like she was getting overshadowed by everyone else, because everyone else was kind of bigger with the drama, bigger with the everything. But BlackBerry is an incredible performer, and I love this look from her cast announcement, with all the red bow looking like blood going around, very demonic, very demure, well. And she's one of my Texas queens, you know, so I'm all about that too. BlackBerry is straight up from, I think, Houston or Austin. So yeah, she and Eva destruction both hail from Texas, so damn you get in Mad representation this season well, and she's a bearded queen so and so that's representing, you know, my people of thick bearded folks, thick bearded folks. I. Did I just beat the accusation by referring to myself as a thick bearded folk? Thick bearded folk? I'm not sure. I really don't think that beat anything. But yeah, go ahead, I'll show off my cargo shorts again. Speaking of EVA, how do we feel about Eva being back, having already experienced Titans season one, we talked a little bit about that with ebora. But with ebora, but I'm very excited to see Eva again. I think she hasn't had her due but also, has she been giving too many chances already? Eva had an interesting season with Titans, because, again, we're massive fans of her in our house and she, I don't want to say she didn't step out, but I think she was overshadowed or eclipsed, even about midway. It was like her, I don't know, just like, if there was a midway point where you could kind of see her break a little bit, but not really, you know, like she was giving it her all. But it just seemed like the looks weren't like, I'm just thinking about that Mars Attacks look and how it was. It was a great look, but the critique was that it was too on news. It was very on the nose. It was very good, but there was no big spin with it, like others were doing with their looks. And so I'm excited for her to come back. I'm excited to see what she could what she's gonna bring, but I really hope that, you know, she listens to those challenges better, because it sucks when you do a really fantastic look like that, and you get essentially taken out because of a technicality, you know Well, and, yeah, that's that's with her. I really just want her to pull the stops out. I really want her to just go for it this time, because I think she could win this, win, something like this, she just really has to pull the stops out. And I think to an extent, she plays it a little safe sometimes. And I also think that's part of what was going on in the last Titans, is that she started to play it just a little bit too safe, which is where she ended up doing things just a little too on the nose, rather than, you know, really trying to step out. Yeah, and I wonder if that's part of the strategy some people do, where they're like, all right around this point is when I can do a safe look, but also like I don't, I don't. I don't want to feel that, because I feel like everyone's giving it their all with every single look, because it could be the last look that you're judged on. And so I would hope that it's not like a purposeful tactic, because if, if everyone else is gunning for it and you're not, that's the week you go home. You know, we've seen it historically strong, strong contestants get taken out like that. And so I don't want to believe, I also don't want to put down anyone's, like, hard work and be like, Oh, you were just trying to go for safe this week. And it's like them sitting there going, I tried really hard. Actually, I don't think you understand how much of these beats I had to sew on over the last 48 hours, you know? So please don't make the Queens cry. It's really when the critique, where people go you clearly, but just bought that bodysuit off of Amazon. That's when it's like, oh, you might have been a little safe before we start to sign off, though. I just want to say I'm also really excited to see Cynthia Dahl come back. Cynthia was one of those ones a little bit like zavaletta, where they came in and kind of, like their attitude at first kind of rubbed the wrong way, but like she turned into a really strong competitor towards the end of her run on season five. So I was pretty upset to see her leave. So I'm really glad that we get another chance to see her come back and bring the drama, but also bring the looks. I think she'll be a good balance, though, too, for sure, absolutely awesome. And so before we head out on this minisode, which is a little longer than usual minisode, maybe I want to ask everybody, who they who? Who do you? It doesn't merits past experiences, just pure fan, who do you want to see make it to the end? And also, let's be honest. Who do you think is going to bring the most drama this season? All right, well, I think the person who's going to take it all the way to the end, mostly that's, I'm hoping it's going to take all the way the end is Eva destruction, because I think that bitch, I think that she will finally earn her way towards the end because she's worked so hard. I think she's really she's hot. She is has really good looks. She is a hairy queen. I think that's great. She's pretty hot. Also she's really funny. And I think that she should definitely get her flowers and actually finally get to the end of it. Otherwise, I don't know if we'll see you again. So I really want to make sure that she can do what she can to get there. Second up. I hoping that would be also, I'm just adding a second up, because I really want to say Laza Valletta. I think that she's really great, and I really hope that she gets also what she deserves, which is a winning position. But in terms of who's going to bring the most drama, I don't know. I feel like Cynthia is great at bringing the drama, and I think she's going to like, going to do that again, like there's no way around it. Remember the the Porta Potty? Bit from her season. Oh, the Porta body bit. We're going to have more bits, and I know it's gonna be great. She's gonna bring the draw, and it's gonna be the most excellent season. You know, I know I'm the one that asked the question on who we want to see you go to the end, but it feels so loaded with so many favorites, so many great looks, so many different distinct styles. I mean, I agree. I see that zavaletta can make it to the end. I see her winning it. I see her going for it, and like just with the evolution of everything that she's done as just incredible work. I can see her taking it, but as a as an absolute fan of her, her story, everything, I just really want Priscilla to go for out the season. And I do think based off of the cast video, the cast introduction. Video, how hard she went with the filth, how hard she went with the horror of it all. I really do think that she is stepped up in performance and looks, because her look is glam with horror in there, but her performance was filled as fuck. So having all three tenants right there just for the Hey, I'm in this video, I think says a lot of where she's at in her life and her career, and I can't wait to see what she pulls out, and I hope she wins, but I do think it's zavaletta that's going to because insane artistry there. As for the drama, dude, this cast this is a dramatic fucking cast. Gotta say, I I think, I think JK is going to bring the drama, because I'm also realizing I mixed up JK with another performer, and I'm remembering JK being her personality. Even said I'm the annoying one. That's my thing. I'm annoying, and there's a lot of queens here that are kind of not gonna vibe with that really, really well. So, but who knows? Maybe she, maybe she cleaned up her act a little bit. We'll see. We'll know on the seventh What about you? Waylon, all right, so just, I mean, just looking through the list and everything. Who do I Who do I really want to win? I really, actually want even to win. I would really love Eva to come through and actually take this title home, because I think she's earned it. I hope that she doesn't play it as safe this time, maybe, and I hope she really goes for it. That's who I really want to win and who I think actually will win. It's all rolled up into one for me. And who do I think is going to bring the drama eat a Bora? We already talked about this, this, this queen doesn't know how to do anything else. So, like, I mean, it's good television. We'll see how long she lasts this time. But yeah, I think she's whatever drama is happening. A Bora is going to be in the middle of it and probably egging it on Absolutely. She does the nose extension so she can stick her nose into other people's shit more efficiently. You know, when you have a theme, just run with it. Well, it's kind of like, it's, it's kind of like how Jack K's Jay K's whole thing is being the annoying little sibling. Their name is Jay K like, just kidding. So, like, yeah, it makes sense. I can't wait to see what these queens have to bring to the table yet again. Yeah. So let us know at home, who are you most excited to see? Who are some of your favorites?
